Universal Audio Solo
So guys, I'm putting together my yearly studio upgrade plan, and found my centerpiece (A&H Mixwiz), converters (E-mu 1820m), and cabling to run between my two rooms. I'm making a list of all the goodies that tie everything together and help me to rid myself of the gear jones that keeps coming back like herpes. So, to get to the point... I'm looking at pres and noticed these little stand-alone Universal Audio Solo pres. There's a solid state and a tube model. They look like a nice little deal ($799 street) for someone who doesn't want/need the 8 channel 8110. Anyone tried these or the 8110 before? Comments? Yay/nay? Pickles on the side and such?
