Tascam 8 channel mixers
Hello all,
I'm looking to buy an 8 channel mixer to compliment my 80-8 recorder. I'll only be using it to track to tape and also to eq recorded tracks before sending them to my computer. I record one track at a time, and do most my mixing in the computer so I dont need tons of flexibility, But I am interested to know the sonic differences of the eq's (and of the mixers themselves) for models such as the 5, 5B, 30, 35. These all seem to have the fuctions i need. Can anybody tell me the different characteristics in "sound" for these mixers? THX |

Check out the Tascam M-208 as well. It's a great recording mixer with 8 tape-ins for your tape machine.

208 the best one?
Hi Beck,
Thanks for the reply. So are you saying the 208 would be the easiest to go from tracking to monitoring when using an 8 track machine? Also does only the 208B have phantom power? I have a Eureka and a Joe Meek pre, but i was thinking maybe a pre from one of these mixers might be a nice option to have. And could i run a stereo reverb for a vocalist to hear on their voice while they record but not go to tape? THX needledrop |
