help

Hi guys,I wonder if anyone can help me,what I want to do is get a good clear recording of guitar backing chords, electric, and play this recording back through an amplifier to use as a backing track.I am going into background music so it will be soft and gentle, this is the reason I need a good quiet recording,I just play the melody on lead guitar over this backing track, would a portastudio be what Im looking for.I know you get a good recording of the better models but what about pushing it out through an amp, would be glad of some help here,Many thanks,Ian

Any decent recording device would do just watch the levels since the amp is expecting a guitar (low level) input and plugging a line level device will result in a real hot signal
