Hey all, not sure how well known John Butler is in the US, but maybe some of the Aussies in these parts can help me out.

Anyone got any idea what stomp boxes he uses live?

Yeah I saw him about a month ago and from what I could see (not too close so take with a kilo of salt)...

BOSS OD/Distortion?
BOSS CS3 Compressor/Sustainer?
Something else which looked BOSSy.

I'd like to find out though....killer tone and doesn't seem to need to use a feedback destroyer on his soundhole!

I have seen his rig described in guitar mags, and not necessarily local ones - I found a page via Google that promised to link to another page that would reveal all, but the page wasn't there.

If that doesn't work, ring up Australian Guitar and tell them they HAVE TO DO AN ARTICLE ON JOHN BUTLER'S GUITAR RIG IMMEDIATELY!!!! And they'll tell you what issue they already did it in...

Luck - he's a great player but I don't like his toons much.
