Question guitar amp problem!!!

I am using a friends Marshall Jcm2000 amp head, and I can't get either of the two 4/8 ohm speaker outputs to work. The single 16 ohm output from the head works fine, but I have a THD hot plate which is 4 ohms which I would like to be using and can't at this moment. What might be wrong? Where should I start looking?
