Anyone curious as to what Carvin amps sound like? -- Look here --->

First off, a special thanks to all of those who have helped me over the past couple of years while I was doing a lot of research on recording gear and what to buy for my "Studio". I've finally got the thing up and running......and I'm starting to actually learn how to "use" the recording software (which was one of the biggest learning curves thus far......and still is )

Since I own a lot of Carvin Guitar amps, and most people don't have access to them to give them a try or listen, I decided I'd throw down some sound clips of the various amp to let everyone know what they sounded like to some degree or another.

Here's the page with all of the clips on it. Most of them state which amp is used, but some don't......if you want to know, just ask.

I hope you enjoy them - And feel free to comment on any aspect of the recording process as I'm always looking for ways to improve.

Thanks,
Rick

APL, this is something you can help us with too.

EDIT: I like the sound of the legacy, do you know if the MTS line sounds similar?

Cool takes...

Interesting thing is that the takes sound very good, and the amps sound good, but there didn't seem to be anything "outstanding" as far as the character of the tone of the amps to my ears- except for the clean bluesy cut. That seemed to have the most character and uniqueness.

The amps seem to match up to other comparably priced amps- that's about all I can add

Well, my brother just got his MTS 2x12" delivered today, and I think it does sound like the Legacy. The MTS kicks major ass man - I would have thought it cost twice what it did based on the sound - th Crunch is freaking awesome.

I just wish the thing was a closed back instead of an open back amp - because I prefer the sound of closed back amp... i mean, how many open back 4x12" cabinets do you see out there? I've only seen 2 of them, and they were a pair of Marshalls owned by 38-Special - (38 special are from here) and they very well might have been modified boxes.
