better explanation mpu401 blues

i cann't get any midi output to my keyboards,my 'puter just wants it's internal sound chipset to play midi files, when i try to use the mpu 401 driver(for midi out) no midi info arrives at my keyboards,i have no trouble inputing via my 'boards, but just no playback i would like to know if there's anyone with the same 810chipset and the same problem or someone to tell how to get it working,
i have no conflict, and the drivers are installed, please help has my soundcard has crap sounds, and my expensive keyboards are gathering dust :-)
