Laptop - Gateway Solo 9550
For Sale : Gateway Solo 9550 Notebook
- Pentium III - 20 Gig Hard Drive - Windows XP Pro - 512 MB Ram - DVD Player - Everything works perfectly - Used mostly for tracking ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Gateway Site - Information The built-in soundcard is adequate by my standards for starting out. It has USB and PCMCIA slots for upgrading the audio. It has a small scratch on the underside. The first $225 plus $10 S&H takes it home. Since I used it for mostly tracking, I thought I'd offer it to the music community before trying eBay.

what speed processor, what speed memory, what speed hd?
Also, it looks like 2 USB, but the picture is kind of fuzzy. Any firewire? Just run down the complete connectivity. And what about the display size and resolution? |

still didn't give a processor speed. What sw did you use on this for tracking, and what kind of interface?

I used the built-in soundcard (line-in) as the audio interface. It was either a mixer or pre-amp (depending on what I was doing) that was plugged into that. The latest version of nTrack was installed on it (16-bit) and it was used to track 1 stereo track at a time. That will be un-installed. As mentioned, it has 2 PCM/CIA and 2 USB (v1.1?) interfaces that will allow other upgraded audio interfaces to be used. There are firewire PCM/CIA cards that are available at your supplier of choice if you need to go that route. It also has an SPDIF out, but I've never used that. I think the HD spins at 5400 and it has dual monitor capability (as many laptops do).

Doh! A day too late. If the buyer changes his mind, then I'm interested in buying.
