cymbal suggestions

ok now, i have posted threads before where i asked what would the best cymbals be, and most of the replies i got said that it depended on the drummer's opinion, wel in my opinion, my favorite cymbals would be very washy, but i hate ringing, the least ring possible would be best, and on the hihats, i like a little "ch" sound , for when the sticks hit them, in my opinion sabian vaults would best match this description but if anyone knows a better choice that would match better, please let me know

- thank you

I played some sabian cymbals one time and they had a really fast decay on them (less ring)
That's about the only thing I know.
Honestly, I like paiste cuz they match the sound I like and I got a complete set of 502's for cheap.

I have a set of Sabian B8's and they just plain make me angry! The cymbals just dont do what I want. They seem very dark, very short decay, just plain un-pleasant. (disclaimer I am not a drummer nor claim to be, I soley do it as a hobby)

I think you are right.. I've only played sabian cymbals a couple of time but the crashes seems to have a short decay. HOWEVER, the rides sound really nice. But you can get a nice 502 ride or a-custom ride that will sound really good as well. (I like the a-custom cuz it has a big bell, but I like my 502 anyways)

Go to a store where you can try some out. They all sound different, even the same model. K series Zildjians are a good guess, but it depends on your taste (and technique, and room, and mics...)
