8" Montiors in small room ???
I have a smallish room, slightly odd shaped but roughly 10' x 8'. I really want monitors with 8" woofers for good low frequency response and will only use monitors with front ports. I also am not crazy about going with a sub woofer in addition to a smaller woofer monitor.
I have read that 8" woofers are typically for larger rooms and for louder monitoring situations. I don't have a large room, and I also don't plan on loud monitoring (within reason). I do plan on doing some acoustic treatments and using some bass traps. I also have a closet I can open, full of clothes that acts as a natural bass trap in one corner ;-) Thoughts or suggestions about this ? Sush |

8" speaker systems
Hey, I love those kind of boxes. I use some 10" boxes in both small and large rooms. Nothing says you have to turn them up really high. They sound great. An 8 x 10' room seems perfect for some nice 8" monitor speakers. This should work ouot greatr.
