Which one?

Hey there. First post so go easy on me
I’m torn between two mics and I’ve no idea which to go for. It’s between a Marshall V67 or a Studio Projects B1. I’ve been told they’re not miles away from each other in terms of quality, so I was just after a general opinion on which would suit my band’s singer best?

There’s streaming demos of some of our early stuff on there, just to give you an idea of his vocal style. Can anyone say which mic would be best suited to his voice? Thanks a lot for any help you can give

Séan.

Can't say what would fit his voice but I've got a V67G and am pleased with the results. Especially for the price.
Don't have a B1 yet (they're next) but I think you'd be OK with the Marshall.

Looks like I'll be getting the Marshall then. Cheers for the help and sorry for another 'which one' thread. I did try make it specific to our singer to see which would suit his voice best though. The bloody amount of money I've spent on recording gear this month (£2400+), the least that bastard should do is get a vocal coach!

What led you to those two mics in particular?

From brief glances around a few sites and the FAQ on here, they seemed to be decent enough entry level things. I've already spent close to 2 and a half grand on an electric drum kit, studio monitors and Line 6 gear, I'm gonna be paying that lot off for the next 3 years so I really can't afford much more than £75 tops for a mic. As long as it gives me decent quality for lead vocals, that's all I want from it.
