drum trigger help in logic pro?
now that my budget allows.
im going to be buying an Alesis DM5 Either DDrum triggers, or Roland ones (the round silver ones) what are you guys's preferences on those. now my main question is im mostly going to be recording rock and Metal bands should i use the samples on the DM5? or should i buy DKFH or BFD and run the DM5 midi out into my motu 828 and trigger the hits in logic? if i were to do that...how can i get each midi hit on a different track, is it just as simple as setting midi channel 1, 2, 3 ,4 , etc. also, can i use DKFH's preloaded velocy samples in the DFH sampler (if it even has one? or the same with BFD? anything else i should know? oh, and all im triggering are mostly kick and snare, and toms. |
