my song

i posted a song on www.myspace.com/kevinmannstl

give me your thoughts.

i wanted to know if there was any way to make fade in/outs and panning changes have more natural curves. all i know how to do is make the mulitple points that create jagged lines.

i know there is a way to make fade in/fade outs in cool edit 2.1 so there should be in audobe audition, i cant remember completely how right now but i'll check later and come back and post, i'm wanting to say you right click on the track but that may be a different program. i use cool edit pro 2.1 at home and at school i use sonar 4 so i get the two mixed up sometimes.

Fade outs are easily done using volume envelopes, or by going to the Favorites menu in Edit view, and selecting fade out for your selected area.

Fade out

If you mix your song down from Multitrack View (Edit/Mix Down/Selected Clips) you will find yourself in Edit View with the 2-track mix. After trimming the beginning and ending of the song where you want it, select the point at which you want the fadeout to begin, and highlight from there to the end of the song. Then go to Effects/Amplitude/Amplitude and click on the "Fade Out" tab. You will be able to specify the beginning level of the fade (0dB if you're starting from the existing loudness of the track) and then ending level (-96dB, using the slider). This will give you a smooth, regular fade. If you look at the preset menu you will see other options as well.

I was listening Simon and Garfunkel yesterday and noticed that drums was paned to the left in many songs. The CD was some collection of their songs.
I never thougth about it before.

I liked the song, by the way. Here is mine (In folder "Music"):
