importing/dissolving midi
Ok, here's what I want to do: I want to import my drum part from Audacity into Cubase LE. So far, I've been able to import it, load the drum vsti on Cubase, and make it play. The only problem is that it plays the wrong drums for different parts of the midi file. I want to dissolve it so that I can maybe somehow assign a specific drum to each track[ and also so i can mix it easier.], but when I go to dissolve it, it won't let me click on it. Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated

I use a little free program called "mididrum" on this page:
http://www.gnmidi.com/gnfreeen.htm Will split up a single-track midi file with a drumtrack into a multi-track midi file based on notes. --- LOTS of great midi utilities on that page! --- |

There is no need for that.
Just open up the MIDI part, and adjust the notes to correspond to the right ones on the Cubase drum player (I am assuming it's LM-7).

This is a common problem. I reccomend that you try to make your drum lines conform to the GM Drum spec (at least kick, snare, HH, clap), that way they will be portable across systems and you wont have to move stuff around
