I still cant hear myself in my headphones...

I still cant hear myself in my headphones..., I have an external soundcard (UA-25) and my headphones are pluged into it but I can hear myself when I record, Is it somethign I need to turn on in CoolEdit or is it a switch im suposed to turn on manually on the soundcard? plz help me, thx

to my knowledge, cool edit does not have a monitoring button or switch or anything. You will have to do it with your soundcard routing options. Look at your soundcards mixer software. Can you assign inputs and outputs? If so, you need to assign the input you are using to the output you have your headphones plugged into.
