Cool

Does anybody know a link to a Guitar and Instrument Price guide? I have done some searching but have not had any luck.

I am selling a guitar and would like to get its current value.

Thanks for your help.

Check out your local Barnes & Noble music section; look for the Guitar Blue-Book - there are two: one for electrics, and one for acoustics. They're rather expensive (~$65 ea) but you can look for nothing - right? Good Luck!

Cool

Get yourself a copy of Vintage Guitar Magazine. It contains a small price guid that extends monthly. However the goodies or in the hundreds of ads from dealers all around the world. Most of these ads are itemized by type, brand and age of the instrument or amp. Flip through the ads and search for the model guitar or amp you need info on. This is sometimes a better way to find prices because you can find out the current retail market values. Keep in mind that wholesale prices are usualy 2/3 or 1/2 the retail price and a "vintage" guitar or amp is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it. What guitar/amp do you have a question about. Some users here can give you pretty close estimates.

Hey boots. Check out this link. It has hundreds of guitar dealers with a search engine that allows you to find your guitar. If there is any dealer out there with a guitar like yours. you will be able to get a good idea of it's going rate. BY the way, what kind of guitar are you selling.

Thanks for your replies.

JC,

The guitar is a Peavey Wolfgang Flametop. It has the transparent Amber Flametop finish with an arched flame maple top.

You can see a pic of it on http://www.peavey.com/mi/transamberft.html

This pic does not display the arched top very well.

Thanks again for all your replies.
