Xboard question
OK folks, I finally have the cash flow to buy an E-mu Xboard. I know I will want more than 25 keys, but I really could use the ultra-portability of the Xboard25. I already have an old 4 octave casio keyboard with MIDI out. Could I run the MIDI out from the casio to the MIDI in of the Xboard, and then the MIDI out of the Xboard to the MIDI in of my audio interface? I want to be able to use the Xboard for triggering stuff and tweaking parameters live. I know I could just buy the Xboard49, but is it really necessary if I already have a 4 octave keyboard?

Wait, does the Xboard ONLY have MIDI out?

OK, it ONLY has MIDI out. So I guess the X25 is out for me.

Look at Novation controllers. They have midi in/out and are excellent all round controllers. Nova Musik has them cheap.
Also bear in mind that all of these controllers are USB and you do not need a midi interface
