Oh GAAAWWWWDDD HELP US!

HI,
Every amp I own has a problem.
Now my peavey Classic Chorus right speaker is buzzing every time I play a note. I push In a little in between the edge and the center and it stops.
Is it blown, or is there a fix for this?
They are Scorpions, if they are gone can ya recomend a set of speakers that are good for a wide variety of musical styles, and dont cost to much?

Sounds like it's time for a re-cone on that speaker. The coilk is most likely still OK. It's cheaper to have the thing reconed that to buy new speakers or original replacements. And since it's not a vintage Fender or anything, re-cone should'nt hurt it's value.

The voice coil is probably scrubbing on one side. Peavey scorpions are reconeable by the owner. You just have to get a replacement basket assembly, remove the three screws and remove the old basket. You klean the gap out using masking tape folded over on itself so it is sticky on both sides. In fact i have repaired some of these by just cleaning the gap an reinstalling the old basket in a different location. Check the old voice coil for scrubb marks, if its bad you will have to have a new basket.

Before you go reconing just try tightnening up the screws that hold it in. I had the same problem with my ampeg vt-22
and scropion speakers and that was the problem, one had come a little loose causing it to buzz, why I dont know but
that was it.
