Opinions on Todays Mix

Recorded this with my friend , think its a good tune . Not the best performance but we got it finished.

Id like some tips on my mixing , maybe how to get a little better sound.

Nice acoustic intro... good playing.
When the vocals come in, they just don't sit right to me. They're good, but I think working with some of the higher end EQ could help. When played loud they just sound somewhat harsh and distorted.
The ending with the singing and snapping sounds cool.

The vocals are a bit loud. I'm not sure if it's them that pop a few times at the beginning, or if it's the guitar. Later it seems to be some vocals that are a bit hot. Some sybalince, maybe? Not a lot, but a few times something happens. The main recording is good, but I think the vocals have a few spots that have problems.

thanks for the input. im new to compression and dont know my way around it so well. i think i might of made them too loud too. the mix was really flat to begin with so i tried to eq in some more high end but maybe a little too much.thanks

i actually just listened again and i hear the pops now..

theres a few just scattered around , ill have to invest in a pop filter one day haha.
