Hardcore/Metal Band I Recorded

Here is another track from the band I recorded a couple weeks ago. I've been tweaking things to satisfy the band, but I'm not sure if I'm totally happy myself. What do you guys think of the mix?
I still hate their music, haha!

Thanks!

Drums are F!@!~@ killer dude. That intro is sweet. Is the bass drum real, or triggered in DFHS? I personally like the tune. Kind of hardcore, punk meatal. I think you did a good job capturing this. I'd almost like the vocals brought up a bit more, but that may not be the intention of this music. They just seem really dramatic, so a few db boost might not hurt. Reminds me some what of Amon Amart, but the vocals are a bit quieter.

Good tune, and nice job getting it done.

The cymbals seem kind of thin (especially in the intro), but I'm just nit-picking. Good job!

Thanks, guys. The kick drum is about 1% real....haha. I used drumagog on the kick. I may bring up the vocals a little, and maybe tweak those overheads a little more.

Thanks for the listen.

I would make the vocals a bit more present too. With music thats in your face Its probably a good idea to have vocals that are in your face too, and the verb is kinda bringing them too far right now to me... like everyone else I'm just nit-picking. What gog sample did you use? I'm guesssing you took all dynamic tracking off.

Ben

Yeah, I have ended up changing the vocals somewhat. Of note is that there are two vocalists and they wanted some stereo seperation between the two.
I used a custom made gog file (a combination of 2 actually), and yeah I've got dynamic tracking almost completely off. That's what the band wanted.

Thanks for listening!

I like it. Only thing that occurs to me is maybe it could use a little more low end on the gtrs.
