I just got a KEL HM1 and am very impressed with it on acoustic guitar.

I have a pair of HM-1s and use them mostly for drum overheads. They are wonderful for taming harsh cymbols, while bringing out a roundness in the toms.
I was not impressed (personally) with them on acoustic guitar , but they do well on micing a electric guitar cab (particularly small ones). On bright acoustic instruments like mandolin and acoustic violin they mics are excellent.

They are not good on most vocals either.

My opinion obviously.

Tom
