Which mic for vocal/harmonica together?

What's up guys I don't have but 3 mics a MXL990,993, and ShureSm57. I'm going to be recording a friend later that'll be playing the guitar, singing, and harmonica, Dylan type stuff. I'll be using the 993 on the guitar but I'm not sure on the other. Just wondering if anyone had any experience or suggestions for my choices. I'm sure I'll try both but I was just curious. thanks alot

I think I would lean towards the 57. The 990 could sound awfully bright on harp.

Doesn't cost anything to try both though.

try a 58 even...it's better for most vocals in my opinion...try a/bing the 57 and 58....

Go with the SM57 for your vocal/harmonica mic... I've done this many times, and you'll get a nice ballsy vocal with a clean, crisp harp.
