Question

Anyone use both and like one more than the other? Is the Classic worth the extra cash? Which is more versitile? I'm looking to get some good distortion tones cause my amp isn't satisfying my needs, and I'm too loyal to cheat on it with another amp, so I figure I'd look for things to spice up our love life...I'm also considering a BOSS DS-2 also. Any suggestions are welcome.

i don't have a Classic, but i've been using the GT-2 for while now. the GT-2, keeping a hold on the Treble, sounds great through both my Marshall JCM-800 Combo and BF Princeton Reverb. additionally, i'm micing two different cabinets, one with Greenbacks and then the Combo with a GT-80 (i believe).

the GT-2 does take a bit of learning though.

i don't use the GT-2 direct.

I'm using the GT-2

I have been realy happy with it. I personaly only use the Tweed setting and not very much drive. Then I run my other effects processors through it to get a good tube sound. And with some reverb it can be ran direct pretty nicely.
