Monitors in Tracking Room

Hey Guys, thanks for the info you've given me so far. Things are moving along nicely and I'll post some more picks soon.

I've wired the tracking room for some floor monitors that will be used for live rehearsal applications only but I also wired a stereo set suspended from the ceiling for playback only. I budgeted for a Carvin DCM150 to push these (229.99US). Unfortunately the second flat screen in the control room chewed up my speaker budget pretty bad. Sooooo, we've got an older pair of JBL 3way boxes with Xovers intact and I'm thinking of reloading them. Any suggestions on some decent replacement drivers without a hefty pricetag? Again these will be for playback only and the occasional "rocking the house".

Do you guys ever pump the playback into the tracking room for a different reference point? Should I be a bit more concerned about quality for these?
