sonar 5 producer edition static?
whenever i play an audio file period I hear tiny pops and static in a song that I dont hear when I play it in lets say winamp or media player...Could it possibly be my soundcard? any help would be appreciated..

More likely the driver -- go to the sound card's website and grab the latest drivers. Try both ASIO and WDM if you have the options listed in Sonar.

Also, maybe trying increasing your latency.

Actually,if you haven't already, you might try tweaking your OS and computer for audio performance before increasing your latency setting.
Things like don't run virus software while doing audio work. There are several sites available on the web that will walk through recommend tweaks. Here's one: http://www.musicxp.net/ |
