Help! I need some DBX NR unit advice

I got these 2 DBX noise reduction units from a pal of mine in Florida.
The first unit is a model 180 type 1 noise reduction unit with screw connectors in the back, the second is a model 150 type 1 noise reduction unit with RCA connectors.

First, the bypass button on the 180 wont stay down. The button seems to be broken, it keeps popping back up. What type of buttons were used on these units and where can I find a replacement?

Second, the back of both units are labeled "from console inputs, to console outputs, from recorder inputs and to recorder outputs. I tried hooking them as such and nothing happened. Which ones are the inputs and outputs.
