Best guitar for around $30,000 to $75,000.

wouldn't it be a cool experiment to be blindfolded and able to play all the guitars in a guitar center and just see which one felt and sounded the best? What would you do if you ended choosing a cheap chinese made guitar for under $500?

I kind of know what you mean. But let me say a thing or two. first of all: there simply is NO guitar that sounds best. there's only guitars that please you the most and suit your style best. feels best? ok, there are certain guitars that feel much better than others. but then again it's also a matter of taste. and I really do believe that certain feels just don't go with certain tones. can you build a fender that sounds like a fender but feels like a gibson. don't think so.

nevertheless i'd say the cheapest guitar will not be the worst and the most expensive one will not be the best.

I just figured out today that a low-end fender is crappier or at least just as crappy as a squier... just 5 times as expensive.

by the way, "capnkid" - are you a bj fan?

Can't do it a Guitar Center

It's not like being owned by a celebrity makes a guitar sound good, but here is one in your price range that I wouldn't mind having:

In case you are worried that the Idol of American Youth would not have parted with a really good guitar, you can go to Mandolin Brothers. Here's another used one, which they are letting go for $55,000 cash:

But not at GC, at least not the ones near me.

You could rip the eyes out of their sockets and I'd still walk out with a tele.

Blindfolded or not, the only sound you'll ever hear in guitar center is the sound of dozens of high school kids trying to play metal riffs.

Wow... that would be sad...

It all depends on what sound you have in your mind. I could be blind but I'm always going to choose a Gibson Les Paul Standard... that's the sound that I have in my head...
