I would look for a Triple C stereo compressor $299 new. It is a multiband compressor. It has been discontinued but still nice piece of equipment - it retailed for $999.....I have been very happy with it lots of presets and knobs to tweek.

I'm pretty sure most people agree the FMR audio RNC is the best compressor for the price.....its always on ebay go grab one there for like 150.
