Hello,

I have bought Otari MX-5050 MKIII - 8 8 Track 1/2inch Tape.

Unfortunately I do not have user's
manual for it. Would you know where I could get it online?
I would appreciate if you could tell me how to synchronize

Otari with
my computer and other digital devices. Also I have no idea what
LOCATOR and OSC are for - do you know it?
Could you explain?

locator I'm pretty sure if for saving a plce on a tape, and then coming back to it later by using the locator, because it locates where you want to go back to

the oscillator is used for testingthe machine, I think. If you turn the knob, it'll send a high frequency signal to all the tracks. Look at the VU meters to see if the needles quiver. If so, it shows that they are working.
