Line out from Vox Pathfinder into mixer?

Anyone ever use the line out on the VOX PAthfinder into a mixer?

I play in a band that gets together once a week. We send everything into the mixer to record it. I'm looking at getting a Vox Pathfinder 10 as my first amp. I'm an acoustic/electric player. I have a Taylor 314ce that has been my main squeeze (going into LR Baggs PADI box into mixer).

I recently got a Gibson J160-E (yes think Beatles) and it has a P100 pickup on it that I'm trying to optimize! Hence, get the Vox, plug it in and run to the mixer!!

spend $100 on a sennheiser e609s, hang it over the front of the amp by the mic cable, and be done with it. don't bother with the line out. the mic will sound MUCH better.

cheers,
wade

Thanks for the response Wade but I don't want to involve mics in this mix.

then you should have no problems running the line out into the board......other than that it won't sound all that great.

if not using a mic is your goal, i'd instead opt for a DI box and run the output of it into the board.

cheers,
wade

Wade,

Then that's how it will be: Vox Pathfinder >> LRBaggs PADI box >> mixerboard.

Once again thanks for your help! Unfortunately, I don't think that the micing of the amp will work in our small room with 6 people banging and strumming away!!

you underestimate the rejection capabilities of that senn e609s. that's exactly the kind of situation where this mic shines the best.

you can go the DI route fine, but IMO, those pathfinders sound a WHOLE LOT BETTER mic'd than DI'd.

cheers,
wade

Maybe I will go that route eventually. I'm going to get the Pathfinder and see how it goes. I have a gift card for $50 and decided to go with the Pathfinder 10 and see !!!
