VST Adapter Patch Problem

Everytime I rescan with 4.5.1 I have to go to Properties for each plug and re-enable it. This was not a problem before installing the patch. Anyone else have this problem?

I hadn't realized there was a new patch.

I downloaded it, but your post has me hesitant to install it - particularly since I am experiencing no problems with the current patch.

just backup your cakewalk, cakewalk shared, and vst plugin directories (including subs) then install. if anything gets hosed, then just unzip, overwriting the new stuff & you're back where you started. oh yeah, might want to back up the registry too (probably don't need to though, for a minor version, but you never can tell what evil lurks in the hearts of programmers)

I asked this question over on the Sonar forum at cakewalk.com. Hopefully there will be some good advice. If you'd like to follow along here's a link -

Here's the answer from Noel at Cakewalk. I followed his advice and all is well. As a bonus, this version of the adapter does scan faster.

From Noel:

Are you running SONAR 4.04? Check the folder defaults settings in the VST wizard.
You probably have the default set to disable plugins. So when you rescan all new plugins are disabled by default if so. If its set to disabled, just toggle this setting in the defaults and this should stop happening.
