it sounds like the low end is drowning out the rest of the sounds in the beat.

i would say that you should find out what instrument is taking up all of the headroom in the low end and eq that seperate instrument. how does it sound in your stereo system?

it sounds like i want it to in my system and on other systems that i listen to the mix on. i added a little extra bass just for thump appeal. i have a pair of studiophile bx5 monitors and the only thing that i maybe need to tweak is my sub, which is probably why you hear more boom. thanks for the advice though, i'll try it on a second mix and see how it turns out. can you point out anything else that might be flawed in the mix??

i kinda put a sub setup together. but i use a sony dream system surround unit with only the sub hooked up. I run the output of the dream system to my Edirol UA-700 to get it all working together. poor man's setup. it gives me the bass i feel i need
