Higher end pre's and monitoring
More and more I'm seeing that some companies building preamps don't seem to understand "monitoring" as in no, or low latency monitoring. In a lot of DAW setup's the best way to achieve this is to use an output that is on the preamp and use that output for monitoring. Companies like Great River understand this concept. What is with companies like (and there are others) Universal Audio who do not have capability like on their LA-610 unit.
I'm liking Great River more all the time. They really seem to understand us DAW users. Here's a quote from their site.... Quote:
