Tascam 1884 / Allen-Heath MW 16

Ok, for my studio, what do you guys think abotu the combination of using a mixwiz 16 into computer, then the tascam 1884 as an interface so i dont need to mess around with the mouse?

protools? cubase? what would your recomend as a program?

any other suggestions?
