Dang Belt!

My F-ing TSR-8's Capstan drive belt keeps falling off. So I bought a new one (new belt). I took my tape machine apart and almost cried when I realized how many parts I would have to remove before I could replace the belt. So I just put the old one back on. And it fell off again. I am now frusterated with my beloved machine. Plus- everytime I take it apart and put it back together, I end up with 5-10 screws in my hand that I have no idea where to put. How much do you think someone would charge me to fix it? I live in Oakland CA. any suggestions?

You want the manual, I bought the manual and service manual for my 3440 off eBay and it saved me a ton of headaches, and extra screws lying around!
