DX-4D, control cable hack.

Hi all,

As per previous threads, I've been having a heck of a time with my DX-4D and my Teac A3440.. Two questions:

1) Are the LED's on the DX-4D supposed to light when it is in encode/decode mode?

2) What pins do I short on the control cable, I want to see if its my A3440 not sending the right control signal, or the DX-4D needs to be servicec.
