hey everyone, i just put up 4 more tunes at http://www.mp3.com/speaknoevil a
couple of acid jazz pieces ,an electric blue's tune and an acoustic/country/blues. these songs are all instrumental. so if this is your bag check it out. these and the other songs we're tracked on an md8 mixed down to a sony md 2tr and burned to cd on a pioneer recorder. let me know what you think. thanks |

Nice grooves, arrangements and I like the playing -- BUT those drum programs have GOT to go - those tunes deserve a real drummer to groove with, and those sequence patterns DON'T cut it at all - very sterile with little "feel".
I couldn't get past those drums, so I didn't listen for other sound/balance issues, but I did notice distortion in a number of places -- could be an MP3 conversion issue, but it sounded more like you were trying to print a very hot digital signal - which doesn't work too well! ![]() Bruce Valeriani Blue Bear Sound

Hey Dave, I've actually heard some of your stuff before on the MD8 homepage. I listened to is 'what it is'. Another good one to my ears. Your getting a better sound than me out of it. I'm a little inexperienced at recording however. I really like that jazzy/bluesy combination.
