can you clean heads and transport with bleach?

NO WAY!!!

Don't even think about it.

The only time you might ever consider it is if your drummer’s armpit somehow made contact with the tape heads. That would be hard to accomplish, so keep the bleach where it belongs – 3 drops per gallon in your Y2k water or your laundry room.
