very ignorant about vocals and mixers

hey people can anyone please tell me what i gotta do to get rid off the music in a song so i can get the vocals seperately to do some remix. can i get any software for dat? or any hardware stuff? anything realated to this.. thank u.

They have the individual tracks, like the guitar, bass, drums, what have you on different audio files, so that they can change levels, effects, etc.
