upgrade to a vf-16

i just recently upgraded from a tascam 488 mkii to the vf-16
and im wonder how can i put the tascam to use without selling it.believe it or not that was my heart before i got the vf-16.do anybody have any good ideas how i can put it to use without letting her collect dust.

You could use it as a submixer, for drums or whatever, as the number of tracks you can record at once is limited with the VF-16, that would increase the number of inputs you have available for a lve recording for example. There seems to be little point in recording to the Tascam and then mixing it down to the Fostex, since the Fostex should give a better quality recording in the first place.
