Monitor Speakers for $500 or less, Rubicon?
howdy,
i'm in the market for my first real pair of monitor speakers. i previously was using some klipsch computer speakers (& headphones). well they're dying, so i figured i'm due. my budget is about $500 on the top end. in that range--right now i'm leaning toward the Samson Rubicon R6A's. anyone have any thoughts or suggestions on better options? thanks.

I found a pair of Event PS6 on ebay for $275 shipped, and I'm very happy with them.

I'm liking my Event 20/20 passives. They have the same drivers as the active ones going for $800. Found them used here on this board from tkingden for $150, and got the Hafler TA1600 from AMS for $150. I'm very happy with them, they are incredibly clear and detailed.
