FD-8/Zip disk noise recorded onto tracks

Aggg. Ok. I have this problem: when I record from anything (digital piano, mic) I always get the hissing sound from the zip disk reading or writing. What can I do about reducing this noise? Thanks in advance.

I have an FD-8, but have not had that problem yet. Sorry... kmar

It could be a problem with power. Try pluging into another outlet without other things plugged into it. You can also spend money and get a power conditioner.
