Vs2000 Boot up Problems

Hey, just so you guys know....

If you accidentally shut the vs2000 off the wrong way (which I somehow do much too often)... you can boot up again by:

Holding : Track4edit button + FX2 button at the same time, and then power on.

This seems to load the unit, without loading a project.

After that though, there is a good chance that all of your songs and data will be gone. But, at least you can start the unit up to re-format.

(These machines are sensitive. If you sneeze on them, or think unholy thoughts in their presence, you will lose ALL your songs. ALWAYS BACKUP !)

Thanks for the tip Matt. I haven't backed anything up on my VS-2000, but so far no problems.

I noticed your previous machine was the BR-1600. Me too, I miss how simple it was. But I'm getting more into my VS. Some of the plug-ins are AMAZING I really recommend T-Racks and the TC Electronics Reverb

I have problems because I have x2 rack mountable power conditioners in my rack, with the Vs2000 plugged into them.

So.... when I swing my chair around, I hit the power switch and kill the whole thing. The vs2000 really really does not like to be shut off wrong.
I am talking : every other time you do that, your screwed.

Also, my 2 year old son likes to shut it off on me too.

Also, yeah I too miss the simplicity of the Br1600. In fact, for a while I wondered if I made the wrong choice swithching up. If I were a rich man, I would own both !

I shut mine down incorrectly by accident the other day.

Everything was where I left it.

This time.
