Budget Mixers

I'm in the market for a small mixer in the price range of <$150 for my solo projects. I'd like something with decent mic-pres. I've heard many good things about the Yamaha MG10/2, but I was wondering what everyone else recommended.

I own a Tapco 6306 and when I've needed to call on the mic pres (I mainly just use it for routing and monitoring) they've done a very respectable job. I use a Yamaha MG series quite often in a live setting and they're pretty decent for the price as well.

I got a 16 channel Spirit F1 Folio board off of eBay for 150. I believe they've been discontinued though, so eBay would be the place to look, if you're willing to look on eBay.

i voted for the yamaha 10/2.

if you can stretch yourself to the 12/4, i would suggest it - its what i've got (and use all the time) and i can imagine the extra outs being useful, and faders are always nicer

i haven't used any of the others though, so i'm not writing them off or anything.

hope that helps,

Andy
