trouble patching in outboard gear.
i'm using an 1824. i attempted to patch in an intellifex via the aux out, and i had signal coming into the unit but no effect coming back onto the track. i'm a bit confused about the aux return. how do i route things on the return side of the loop?

anybody?
that's right, i'm replying to myself.
i know this is rudimentary, but can anyone offer up the tidibit i need? i followed the manual and didn't get effected signal returning to the machine. i figure it's one of those manual deficiencies. |

Outboard Effects Patching
I've used outboard equipment with my VS-2480. I routed the track(s) to the Aux buss via the Easy Routing screen, connected two of the Aux outs to the outboard effects and then brought them back in to the VS via a couple channels' line inputs. It sounds like you're thinking that the Aux buss is both in and out like a TRS insert buss on a mixing board. On my 2480 it's only an output. I have to use the regular channel inputs to bring the signal back into the VS. Does this answer your question?
