Talking HELP...some roland questions!!

Im thinking of getting the roland VS-880EX. I just borrowed a VS 1680 from a buddy of mine to do some demos with my band. Im basically using it to record my drums and put it into the computer...then do all guitars vocals bass etc. right on the computer. Im running like 6 or maybe even 8 mics on my drum set, depending on the set up. I was just wondering if the 880EX can record all 8 mics seperate, at the same time so I can dump them in to the computer track by track. Thanks alot guys!!!

not sure you can do 8 at once, I have an 880 and the most I can do is 4 at a time - there might be some way around it though

i just did drumson a VS880ex and it went slick as shit ... i did six tracks in total. the last two tracks are digital inputs and shit so .. unless you got a way to convert your signal to digital they arent of much use at this point .. but they will come in handy evnetually.

but you should have no trouble doing 6 tracks ... just mic the kit wisely. and i can really not offer any adive in that area as i had someone else mic the kit i just recorded .... just casue hes had tonnes of expereince miking that stuff.
