Bespeco mixer... compressor on all 8 channels???

Has anybody here heard of Bespeco? I can hardly find it anywhere on the net.

I was just browsing through a local gear-shop and they had this "Bespeco" mixer. It's shaped like an L (image: Bespeco X8 ) and all the knobs are on one side of the "L" and all the connectors are on the other.

It has a 4 band EQ on ALL 8 channels (2 sweepable mids), Compressor on all 8 channels, Noise gate on ALL 8 channels, individually switchable 48V phantom power on all channels. individual XLR output on all channels (as well as insert) - It's got two fadable aux sends... Man this thing even has it's own friggin click track... All in an 8 channel mixer (and it looks good)

Everything looks sweet about this thing EXCEPT the brand. I've never heard about it and it's very hard to find it.

The only page on it is here: http://www.bespeco.it/2004/ImmaginiP.../InsideX8.html
and still it looks like something really cool

It's probably meant for live gigs more than recording (probably drums), but It looks pretty sweet.

I want one if it isn't a piece of crap... I mean, maybe it's crappy sounding, but it's almost worth it. Has anybody heared about this brand?

I have not heard anything about their mixer products - however they also make guitar pedals and they're supposedly (I have no personal experience with their stuff, so as always take it for what it is worth) like behringer on a bad day.
Read some user reviews of their pedal line at harmony central

not all bad

not all of it was bad. Their weeper seems like a piece of crap, but the other stuff generally gets fine reviews.

Cool preamps

Actually, there's a preamp on all mixers that except microphone input, so that's not such a big deal, but I'm really impressed with the compressors... even though they're probably crap.

There are compressors and gates on every channel of a Neve VR as well....

The Amek "big" has an entire "virtual dynamics" function on every channel that is kind of weird and interesting. I liked the limiter....

I have no idea about the mixer in question, though. Never heard of it.
