Looking for Collab vocals and drums on this project
I’m working on “Question” by the Moody blues. Here is a link to the incomplete project.
Question I could really use some kick ass vocals, and drums on this track. Much of the synth voicings will be written to compliment the vox, so Im kinda stuck. Please disregard my own shitty vocal. I use to to keep my place in the song as I record tracks. Also, much of the guitar in the mid section will be retracked. I’d appreciate any opinions, and anyone who will collab on vox for me. Mark |

I would be willing to take a crack at the vocals.

If you could post a version of the tune without the vocals it would be much easier for me to sing to it. Your phrasing seems to throw me off a bit.

Here is a copy of the latest mix Question Mix2 You should have everything you need to lay down the vocals. I will fix the orchestration, EQ, mix etc once I have vocals. Thanks man. Please let me know if you need another format or anything else Mark |

The song structure still is not correct. The intro is too short by 16 beats and you added 16 beats at the end of the 1st stanza of the second verse. If you load the original song into your multi-track and play to it I think it would be much easier. That's a pretty tough song to record from scratch.

Yes, it is a tough song to do. Its the primary reason that I chose it. A lot of people view the Moody Blues as a somwhat farty band, but some of their guitar and bass lines are the most difficult I ever attempted.
I actually sprained my left wrist during one of the acoustic guitar takes. It took me out for 4 days. its the first time that ever happened to me. About the structure, there is a second recording of the song (not the original album version) that I took the structure from. I think its nearly exact with some minor differences in the mid section. I modified the outro and I should have warned you about that. The last few bars there is a half verse.. Voice...Why do we never get an answer, when were knocking at the door(4 measures) The next 4 bars will be asynth crescendo that really accellerates and punches, then it dies into a 12 string/bass fade out. I thought this would be better than the one they did. I can ftp the original to my site and give you a link if you like. Sorry, I should have warned you about that. If you do the various verses and mid sections I can copy/paste to construct the outro if it is easier for you. |

Here is the song
Question Orig2 I think my version is pretty close, Ill have to double check it. I like doing some of my own arrangements. Here is a link to a project that Im just finishing up now that illustrates that a little. My daughter did the vox on this Only Women Bleed premix |
