digital outputs from a pre to my layla

i was just wondering if anyone knew if the digital outs on something like the ART DPS 2 would plug into the digital in of my LAYLA 24

this would then give me 10 ins (total) at once right

would i somehow be able to add another one too, or would i need some kind on combiner for the digital signal?

i could really use the extra 2 channels, or more.

using the digital outs should hook up fine with the s/pdif ins on the layla. also, i haven't tried it yet, but i know someone who had great results with the layla and the behringer ada8000. it's about the same price (or cheaper) then the art dsp and it's a cheap way to add 8 channels by using your adat ins.
