Two Cover Tunes

I recorded a couple of cover tunes, one by James Taylor and the other by Gordon Lightfoot.

Fire and Rain

If You Could Read My Mind (My wife's favorite!)

I rerecorded Fire and Rain to try to relax and put more feeling into it:

I Listened to "If You Could Read My Mind" - Great choice - some classic Canadian talent....My very first two albums were Gordon Lightfoot - received them one Christmas when I was like 6 or 8 or something. My parents gave me one and my aunt and uncle gave me the other....but enough of that ancient history.

Nicely done... can see why it's your wife's favorite...

The vocals are nicely done - I especially like the vibrato you add the the end of the phrases...

The finger picking is cool on the guitar - it even sounds like two guitars sometimes. Is it capo'd ? I hear these higher notes every so often that makes me think that it in an upper range. Sounds like some complex chords going on there too....

Well recorded too - clean and clear ....just the way we like it

Should have listened to this first. While I was listening to "Read My Mind" I kept trying to figure out who you sounded like. As soon as this began to play I could tell - James Taylor of course. And.... more excellent guitar playing going on here too.... love that classic guitar riff...played perfectly here....

"there's just a few things coming my way this time around now...."

Classic - thanks for sharing......
